ENROLLMENT IS OPEN!
If you are excited about our unique model and mission, live in Davidson County, and have a student who will be in kindergarten or first grade in the 2022-2023 school year, we would love to have you join our community as one of our founding families!
Families who enrolled prior to March 7 have already received their acceptance notifications. If you missed the deadline, don't worry, we still have very few spots left for kindergarten, and a few more for first grade.

Will Aventura provide breakfast and lunch?
Aventura will provide breakfast and hot lunch through a food service vendor during our founding year. School meals will be priced on a sliding scale. Prices will be determined by the department of education in the summer of 2022 and at this time we will also provide forms for families to apply for free or reduced meals. Students are also welcome to bring their own lunch each day.
What are the hours of the school day?
The Aventura school day is from 8:15 am to 3:50pm Monday through Thursday. Fridays are a shorter day for students with dismissal at 2:00pm.
Will Aventura offer before care and after care?
We will offer before and after care for a sliding fee. Before care will start at 7:30am and after care will run until 6:00pm. We plan to offer a variety of clubs as part of our after care program provided by our community partners and teaching staff.
What transportation will be available?
We plan to provide transportation for 50% of our student population and may increase the number of routes depending on demand. Bus routes will be finalized after collecting feedback from enrolled families in the spring and early summer.
Will Aventura offer Special Education (SPED) services like other MNPS schools?
As a public school, any student who receives support or services as indicated by an Individual Education Program (IEP) will also receive these services at Aventura. Aventura will work with MNPS to identify students who may need an IEP that do not currently have one. Aventura has a dedicated SPED teacher for every 2-3 grade levels and will contract service providers for speech, OT, etc. as needed to serve our students.
What is the class size and student-teacher ratio at Aventura?
Elementary classrooms at Aventura have 30 students with two licensed teachers. The student to teacher ratio is 15:1.
Does Aventura have uniforms or a dress code?
There is no formal uniform for Aventura students and you can find the dress code policy in the Community Handbook. We will have Aventura apparel available on a sliding scale for families who would like to have that option when planning what to wear to school.
Will Aventura students have homework?
While we hope that the projects and work that students are doing every day at school excite students and they bring their learnings home to their family, in the early grades Aventura will not have nightly worksheets or homework assignments. Students are encouraged to read at home with their families in both Spanish and English and make connections to what they are learning about at school with the world around them.
